Health and Well-Being Month: Week Two – Day One

Physical Health

I hope you’re all feeling good, and that your minds are feeling clearer after last weeks focus on mental health.

This week is about your body. I want you to concentrate on how you relate to your body, and how you think of yourself in physical terms. You’ve started to build up your mental strength and now is the time to transfer this to your body.

The positive work we have done in week one will transfer over into our cell memory. We can make a huge impact at the smallest level, and if our cells are healthy, we are healthy.

“The Cellular Memory pre-disposes or, “programs” you to perceive and behave a certain way as thoughts and feelings are made manifest within your consciousness. To use the analogy of a computer, the holistic beingness is the hard disk, or storage disk. The Cellular Memory is the database on the storage disk….Stored within the Cellular Memory are all the conscious and unconscious patterns of behaviours. The unproductive patterns impair our ability to feel well, happy, healthy, attain our goals and fulfil our destiny.”

Don’t worry – I’m not going to get you to build up a workout programme or say you must go to the gym this week! No no! I am going to be introducing fun activities for you to do (I’m particularly looking forward to day six!). I want to get you to know your body and how you relate to it, not go on a mad dash trying to get in shape.

Day One:

Dance, dance, dance.

Dance it out. You might feel awkward at first – bloody hell I did – but it’s a great way to get your blood flowing and to let some energy go.

So pick a playlist, turn it up loud and dance it out! As simple as that!

To find out more about the benefits of this activity, here’s the link to a post I wrote a long while ago about dancing – Get Into The Groove (Part One) and Get Into The Groove (Part Two).

Have fun with your body today, and let loose!

Be happy. Be you.
